What I liked about this cookbook is that it starts off with a variety of recipes for things like sauces, glazes, and condiments. These items can then be used for the main course recipes that come later, or used in your own creations. This is not a "quick dinner ideas" cookbook. These recipes are for people who appreciate food made from real ingredients (what my grandmother called "from scratch"). It may take a bit longer than opening up some cans and mixing them up, but the results are well worth it! Enjoy.
